Meet the Doctors – Broward Oral Surgery Associates
Dr. Perry Stuart Seider
Perry Stuart Seider grew up in the Bronx and Westchester Counties in New York. He graduated from Hunter College of the City University of New York in 1968 and went on to graduate from dental school at New York University in 1972 with honors. He served as an intern at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and then served his residency at Columbia University’s St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City for three years. Upon completion of the program in 1976, he moved to South Florida to start working in private practice. Four months after moving to Florida, he and his wife had the first of their three sons.
Dr. Seider has been active in the Florida Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and has served as President of the Miami Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has been a Clinical Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University School of Dentistry from its inception in 1997 until 2005. He is also past chief of Oral Surgery at Memorial Hospital West and Memorial Pembroke Hospitals. Dr. Seider is a member in good standing of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of American and Florida Dental Societies of Anesthesiology, the American Dental Association, the South Florida District Dental Society and the South Broward Dental Society.
In his leisure time, Dr. Seider is an avid cyclist, paddleball player, skier and most of all enjoys spending time with his family which now includes four grandchildren.
Dr. Jeffrey Alan Stevens
Jeffrey A. Stevens grew up in Westbury, New York. He graduated from Alfred University, Magna Cum Laude in 1969. He then graduated from Tufts University Dental School in 1973, Cum Laude. He spent three years as a Resident at Boston City Hospital in Boston and the New England Medical Center, Massachusetts in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Stevens moved to South Florida in 1976 and has a daughter and son. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a member of the Florida and Miami Societies of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also has been a Clinical Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University Dental School, from 1999 until 2007. He is a fellow and diplomat in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He has been past Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Memorial Hospital West.
His other interests include gardening, playing the piano, and jogging.
